INT. SCORSESE'S HOME THEATER - DAY

MARTIN SCORSESE eats popcorn as he watches an old black-and-white western.

A shadow casts over the movie screen. Scorsese turns.

SCORSESE

shielding his eyes

Magro! Is that you?

WILLIAM

Yes sir.

SCORSESE

They tell me you write pictures.

WILLIAM

I do, sir.

SCORSESE

They must be better than this. You're blocking my screen.

WILLIAM

There's LOVE, RICHARD? It's a Rom-Com. A hapless health inspector and a down-on-her-luck restaurant manager meet on the worst day of their lives. As they fall in love, they begin to question who is making the decisions and whether they are the right ones.

Scorsese thinks. William continues.

WILLIAM (CONT'D)

THE ROSE: PART ONE is a fantasy story. After Orcs raid a small, sleepy village, six strangers are stuck together on a wild quest to save the town, the women, and themselves. Their only connection... they're all being chased by something. It's Game of Thrones meets adventure film, meets mystery thriller.

SCORSESE

Part Two better be good.

WILLIAM

It is, sir. THE ROSE: PART TWO. Is everything the first film is and more. Our Mighty Six are betrayed by old friends and cornered by new enemies.

Scorsese turns back around. Continues eating popcorn.

SCORSESE

They're good.

flicks his hand

You're blocking my film.

William EXITS the theater.

FADE OUT.
